Daffodil Tamara is a striking Irish-grown variety featuring a lemon-yellow disc and a slightly deeper yellow trumpet. Known for its early blooming period, the flowers appear from late December to mid-January, reaching a height of 40cm. This daffodil is ideal for naturalising, being rabbit and deer resistant, and its classically shaped, scented blooms are excellent for use as cut flowers, lasting well in arrangements.
Daffodil Tamara tolerates exposure and thrives in both sunny and partially shaded positions. It prefers well-drained, light to fertile soil. The optimal planting period is in autumn to early winter, with bulbs planted at a depth of 6 inches (15cm) and spaced 4 to 6 inches (10 to 15cm) apart. This makes it a versatile and resilient addition to any garden, providing early seasonal colour and delightful fragrance.
