You’ll need structural materials (blocks, timber, roof trusses), along with essentials like insulation, membranes, sealants, fixings, and tools. We stock a wide range of building materials, tools and accessories for every stage.

Can I get everything for a full build in one place?

Yes, from groundwork to finishing, along with tools, flooring, doors and fixings. We also supply roof trusses, roof windows, heating systems and more with our trade team.

Do you provide quotes for full builds?

What’s the best heating system for a new build?

For modern Irish homes, underfloor heating combined with a heat pump is the most energy-efficient option. These systems offer lower running costs, qualify for SEAI grants, and meet current building regulations giving your home a higher BER rating. Speak to our trade counter team for guidance on the right system for your build. 

Do you supply roof windows and attic solutions?

Yes including Velux & Keylite roof windows and loft ladders, helping maximise natural light and usable space in new builds.

What tools will I need for a self-build?

Key tools include concrete mixers, levels, ladders, saws and power tools. We stock everything from basic hand tools to professional-grade equipment from trusted brands like DeWalt, Makita and Stanley. We also offer tool hire for selected construction equipment ideal for tools you only need at one stage of the build.

Can I hire tools instead of buying?

Yes, we offer tool hire for selected construction equipment at our hire centre on Racecourse Road. It's a great option for tools you only need for one stage of the build. View our Tool Hire Guide or call our hire team on 0504-24444. Please note we no longer hire garden tools or machinery.

We carry a wide selection across multiple styles and price points whether you're doing a full renovation or refreshing a single room. Do you supply doors and finishing products?

Yes , we supply internal doors (in store only), skirting, mouldings and ironmongery to complete your renovation. Please note we do not supply external doors. Visit our trade counter or call (0504) 21900 for availability.

Do you offer delivery on bulky materials?

Can I get expert advice before purchasing?

Can I order online and collect in store?

Yes, free click and collect is available through our website. Simply order online and collect at our store on Racecourse Road, Racecourse Retail Park, Thurles, Co. Tipperary at a time that suits you.
