Pellet Stove Collection

A wood pellet stove is the most efficient way to heat your home with a stove, typically running at around 85 to 90% efficiency. Pellets feed automatically from a hopper into the burn chamber, so you can set the thermostat and timer and come home to a warm room without lighting a fire. A full hopper can last over a day, and pellet stoves burn cleanly with lower emissions. They only need a compact flue rather than a full chimney, which makes them a great fit for newer homes and extensions.

During the Heat & Flame Event, selected pellet stoves come with free delivery and 10 or 20 free bags of wood pellets. Choose from top brands including Elcofire, Klover, Waterford Stanley, Henley Stoves, EcoForest and Palazzetti.

For smaller rooms, the Elcofire Lima 5 Pellet Stove 5kW and Waterford Stanley Lir Radiant Heat Pellet Stove 5kW are compact and efficient. The Elcofire Kiva Freestanding Pellet Stove 2.5–8kW and Klover Soft 80 8kW suit larger living spaces. To heat your whole house, including radiators and hot water, choose a boiler pellet stove such as the Elcofire Strata 17kW or the Klover Thermo Style 220 25kW.

Pellet stoves use a small amount of electricity to run the feed and fan, and pellets should be stored somewhere dry. Not sure whether pellet or multifuel is right for you? Read our guide, Wood Pellet or Multi-Fuel Stove?, or use the Heat Output Calculator to find the right size for your room. You can also stock up on wood pellets for the winter ahead.

Frequently Asked Question

Do pellet stoves need electricity?
Yes. A pellet stove uses a small amount of electricity to power the auger that feeds pellets into the burn chamber and the fan that circulates heat. That means it won't run during a power cut. In return, you get automatic feeding, thermostat control and timer settings, so you can come home to a warm room.

How long does a bag of wood pellets last?
It depends on your stove's output and setting. As a rough guide, a 15kg bag lasts between 8 and 24 hours of burning, with less time on full output and more on a low setting. Many stoves in our range come with up to 20 free bags of pellets on selected models. Stock up on wood pellets before the coldest months.

Do pellet stoves need a chimney?
No. A pellet stove doesn't need a traditional chimney. It vents through a compact flue, which can often run through an external wall, so pellet stoves are a good fit for newer homes and extensions without a chimney. Browse our flues and cowls, and always use a qualified installer.

Can a pellet stove heat my whole house?
Yes, if you choose a boiler pellet stove. Boiler models connect to your central heating to heat radiators and hot water as well as the room. Options include the Elcofire Strata Boiler Pellet Stove 17kW and the Klover Thermo Style 220 25kW.

How often does a pellet stove need cleaning?
Empty the burn pot regularly, usually every day or two depending on use, and the ash pan roughly once a week. Wipe the glass when it's cool, and book a professional service once a year to keep your stove running efficiently. Good-quality, dry pellets produce less ash and mean less cleaning.

How much does pellet stove delivery cost?
Selected pellet stoves come with free delivery anywhere in the Republic of Ireland. Large items usually arrive within 5–7 working days. You can also choose free click & collect from our store in Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

Can I return a pellet stove?
Yes. You can cancel an online order within 14 days of delivery, as long as the stove is unused, uninstalled and in its original packaging. Refunds are processed within 7 days of us receiving the return. Contact websales@stakelums.ie, or see our returns policy.
