Amanda Daunt has extensive experience in the world of colour, having originally trained as a Fashion and Knitwear Designer where her talent has taken her to all corners of the globe. This knowledge combined with her management of creative visual display teams in international retail across Ireland, India, and Cyrus, before she embarked on a career as a colour consultant with Dulux.

Amanda continues to use her in-depth colour expertise now through the power of paint to help consumers transform their homes and businesses. Amanda has hosted a number of online colour consultations for our customers over the past two years and is part of the Dulux Let's Chat Colour team who provide free colour consultations. We're delighted to get Amanda's expert colour advice again for spring 2022 and hope you enjoy this series of posts. This is the first of six posts to accompany Amanda's weekly podcasts with Tipp FM. What is the Dulux Let’s Chat Colour Service?

Dulux offer free 30-minute colour consultations to both residential and commercial clients. Whether it’s just one room, a whole house renovation or a new build, an office, or a streetscape, their team cater to all people’s interior and exterior colour needs.

How do I book a Consultation?

There are several ways to book a free consultation:-

How does the Colour Consultation work?

Once an appointment is booked for you, Dulux will send you a checklist of items they need from you to help them prepare in advance and for you to get the best out of a consultation. Once we receive all your photos/videos etc., of the spaces that you need help with and your contact details, we will phone you at your designated appointment time to discuss your project.

Tip: It's important to include as much detail as possible to your consultant as all the elements will help form the basis of the colour scheme e.g. appliances, kitchen units, tiles, flooring & sofas

We will take on board everything you say from colours you don’t like to the floors, curtains, furniture, soft accessories that will remain or change in the space before we propose colours.

What do the Dulux Colour Experts deliver after a Consultation?

After the consultation, we create a bespoke mood board of the proposed colours and a paint specification of the suitable paint finishes for each area of your home, this effectively acts as a shopping list for you. A Let’s Chat Colour consultation will give you the confidence to test the suggested colours in your space to decide which ones work best for your home.
